This course covers the skills and knowledge required to transport, handle, store, prepare and apply chemicals – including preparing an application plan, chemical mixes, calibrating application equipment, and applying chemicals.
A person distributing (spray, spread or disperse) herbicides using ground equipment (any machine or apparatus other than an aircraft), on land they do not own or occupy may require a commercial operator’s licence. Successful completion of this course meets the requirements of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries to qualify for a licence.
