This course describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This course intends to provide participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively respond to emergency situations by sustaining and/or restoring breathing and circulation to an adult or infant.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Be at least 14 years of age or older; and
- Have at least a year 8 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
DELIVERY
This course is delivered and assessed throughout a two (2) hour face-to-face classroom session.

There is one (1) unit of competency associated with this course:
- HLTAID001 Perform CPR
ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS
Participants will be required to successfully complete a series of assessment tasks which may include an online exam, practical demonstration / observation, case studies and group activities.
