This course covers the skills and knowledge required to undertake basic scaffolding – including planning task, selecting and inspecting plant and equipment, setting up task, and erecting/dismantling scaffold and scaffold equipment (e.g. modular or pre-fabricated scaffolds, cantilevered materials hoists with a maximum working load of 500kg, ropes and gin wheels, safety nets and static lines, and bracket scaffolds).
A person undertaking basic scaffolding is required to hold a high risk work licence. This course meets the formal training requirements required for a licence, as outlined by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
