This course covers the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a personnel and materials hoist – including planning task, selecting and preparing equipment, conducting hoist operations, and the safe and secure shutdown of equipment after completing operations.
A person operating a personnel and materials hoist is required to hold a high risk work licence. This course meets the formal training requirements required for a licence, as outlined by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
